Most of what you have read in the magazines and books about dieting is WRONG. Some of it is not, but most of it was written by men and women on deadlines who have never bothered to check the facts. Much of what I read in American magazines is downright dangerous and would not get you leaner no matter how hard you worked.

Stop right there. The good news is most of what you have told yourself about your body is WRONG. You are not "hopelessly fat."
